Review
The narration was wonderful. The best part was description of personal feelings. This book describes the importance of life very well. --By A Customer on May 4, 2016

An Interview with Savi Sharma
Blogger turned author Savi Sharma talks to us about her writing inspiration and the kind of stories that she would like to tell. An excerpt from an interview with the author.
Q. Tell us about yourself.
Savi Sharma: I am a simple girl from Surat with simple dreams. Apart from being a writer, I am also the co-founder of the media blog, Life & People, where we create and publish inspirational and motivational content. I’m a person of values, emotions, and ethics. I believe that an author can be better known through his or her work.
Q. What inspired you to write?
Savi Sharma: The stories in around my life are my inspiration. The urge to share my experiences with others is what inspired me to write. I was pursuing a degree in charted accounting and only had the finals left to clear. But then I started writing the story of Meera & Vivaan and had to take a break from my studies, the more I wrote, the more involved I got. It is then that I found my true self. Finally, I let go of my career as a CA to become a writer. I realized then that I did not want to write numbers but stories.
Q. “Everyone has a Story” is a common yet an attractive title. How did you come up with the name for the book?
Savi Sharma: No one actually knows this, but when I started writing this story, the title was something else. But as my story progressed, I discovered that each and every character of my book had their own unique story, journey and dreams. My readers could easily relate to these characters. So the title, ‘Everyone has a Story’ came to mind. I strongly believe that everyone has a story, everyone is a writer. Some stories are written in books, while some are confined to the heart. I wanted to inspire people to create and tell their own stories. That’s what the message of the book is about.
Q. Why did you choose to write?
Savi Sharma: Art is a beautiful means to be close to your soul and know yourself better. Writing is something which gives clarity of thought to my mind and heart.I wanted to discover myself yet live different lives in one lifetime. I always wanted to be a storyteller.
Q. Who is the inspiration behind your characters?
Savi Sharma: There is no single source of inspiration behind any of my characters. Each character has shades of different people that I have come across in my life.
Q. Who pushed you into writing or helped you the most? What role did your friends and family play in the process? What was their reaction to the book?
Savi Sharma: I used to scribble poems and short stories in my school books. During my college days, I wrote the first draft of my novel, for which I asked feedback from my friends. Most of them absolutely loved it; however one friend, Ashish Bagrecha told me that although it was a good story, it wasn’t a great one, especially not for my debut. He advised me to write about myself and my dreams. I then started writing another story, which turned into this book. I made him my mentor, he helped me greatly with the editing, publishing and marketing of the book.
My family had always been supportive of my writing, but they also wanted me to focus on my studies. After the success of the book and after they saw how it inspired many people, they were okay with me being a full-time writer.
Q. Does the book capture any of your personal experiences?
Savi Sharma: All the characters are sketched from my personal experiences. Like Meera’s quest to write a story and Vivaan’s dream to travel.
Q. A romantic inspiring novel, how did you come up with this idea?
Savi Sharma: I want to be an inspirational fiction writer. I want to write simple stories, about real and relatable characters. I strongly feel that this is what the generation of today needs-stories that give courage, hope and strength. Yes there is romance and love in my writing, but the romance is not just for show. Love is what we all need.
Q. What are some of the topics that you want to write about and why?
Savi Sharma: For now, I would explore more about love and life in my fiction books. In the future, I want to write non-fiction books about self-discovery, traveling, positivity and laws of attraction.
Q. In the end, what is your suggestion for aspiring writers?
Savi Sharma: I am not yet at a stage where I can advise other writers, I have much left to learn. Still, I can share what I feel and follow: When I was writing the book, my purpose was to tell a story, I simply did not think about publishing, distribution or marketing. Of course these aspects are very important for reaching out to readers, but consider them at a later stage. While writing the story, it’s only you and your words. Write what you feel, what your heart wants you to write, and the rest shall follow.
