Readers reviews about the book:

Everyone loves a good fable, and this is certainly one. The protagonist is Julian Mantle, a high-profile attorney with a whacked-out schedule and a shameful set of spiritual priorities. Of course it takes a crisis (heart attack) to give Mantle pause. And pause he does--suddenly selling all his beloved possessions to trek India in pursuit of a meaningful existence. The Himalayan gurus along the way give simple advice, such as, "What lies behind you and what lies before you is nothing compared to what lies within you." Yet it is easy to forgive the story's simplicity because each kernel of wisdom is framed to address the persistent angst of Western white-collar professionals.

Here is the story of Julian Mantle, a superstar lawyer whose out-of-balance lifestyle leads him to a near-fatal heart attack in a packed courtroom. His physical collapse brings him into a spiritual crisis that forces him to confront the condition of his life. Hoping to find happiness and fulfillment, he embarks upon an extraordinary odyssey to an ancient culture, where he discovers a powerful system to release the potential of his mind, body, and soul and learns to live with passion, purpose, and peace. Brilliantly blending ancient spiritual wisdom of the east with contemporary success principles of the West, this inspiring tale provides a step-by-step approach to living with greater courage, balance, abundance and joy.

Think And Grow Rich has earned itself the reputation of being considered a textbook for actionable techniques that can help one get better at doing anything, not just by rich and wealthy, but also by people doing wonderful work in their respective fields. There are hundreds and thousands of successful people in the world who can vouch for the contents of this book. At the time of author’s death, about 20 million copies had already been sold. Numerous revisions have been made in the book, from time to time, to make the book more readable and comprehensible to the readers.

The book details out the most fundamental questions that once bothered the author, Napoleon Hill. The author once set out on a personal quest to find out what really made some people so successful. Why is it that some people manage to remain healthy, happy and financially independent, all at the same time? Why, after all, do some end up being called as lucky? The answers, no wonder, had to be no less than revelations.

For more than a decade, the author interviewed some of the wealthiest and most successful people in the world. It was based on what author learnt in the process from all these people, when asked about how they achieved not just great riches but also personal wellbeing. The author formulated hundreds and thousands of answers, into concise principles which when acted upon, many claim, can help one achieve unprecedented success.

The author has in many places narrated short stories and examples that help explain the concept at hand in an engaging manner. Think and Grow Rich teaches not just concepts but also methods. It is not a book that a reader can use for one time consumption. The book, even author recommends, has to be read one chapter at a time and in sequence. Several readers and even some motivational speakers claim to have been reading this book over and over again, few pages at a time, for a long time now. Till date, it remains the number one self help book in the world, as far as sales are concerned!

About author:

An American journalist, lecturer and author, Napoleon Hill is one of the earliest producers of 'personal-success literature’. As an author of self-help books, Hill has always abided by and promoted principle of intense and burning passion being the sole key to achieve success. Hill has authored numerous books among which Think and Grow Rich has been his most well-known works and had sold over 20 million copies back in the 1930s.

Think and Grow Rich is the best motivational literature that I ve come across. I was involved in a certain marketing stint during my engineering, and this book was suggested to me by a friend, who is today one of the finest motivational speakers. The book presents the essential commodities for success, in the simplest terms possible. The book is build with research conducted by Napoleon Hill for over 25 years, interviewing successful people like Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell to name a few. --Santosh J K on 03 Mar 2013

The story goes like that, i was once wondering in the street mhatama gandhi road or like that which connects ahmedabad railway station to Bhdra kali temple in 1982. In between the road there was one bridge below which one second hand book seller was sitting with a pile of old books with rate as rs two each book. I bought ten books and one of them was this think & Grow rich. since i was engineering student at that time therefore i replced word money with knowledge. This worked well and still i remember the book which has astonishing effects and rejuvenate your action in desired directions to acheive any goal properly thought and decided by you --HARISH KUMAR. on 03 Sep 2012

This is a very good inspirational book. This edition contains commentary adding more examples of today. It will definitely change the way you think. I firmly believe that the methods described in the book can make anybody who follows them extremely successful. A must read for anybody who wants to be successful. I have just finished reading it, and I am going to go over it again. This is not a "get rich quick" book. --sapan maniyar on 12 Mar 2012

Top Reviews of the book Who Will Cry When You Die?

When I ordered this book on flipkart ,I did very little assumption about what the book could be.As per my previous experience with "The Monk who sold his Ferrari" by the same author I thought it will also have the motivational moves with a great storytelling. But after getting the book,I found it quite interesting.I small book, looks like ones personal notebook with answers of all the major(as we say) problem of us.Small, simple yet captivating enough.Consists of over 100 chapters, each describing problems and their solutions.Just put the book on the bedside table.Read any chapter in the morning and there you go....a bright start of your day!!! --Avipriya M Oct 13, 2013

There is no need for me to sing the same paeans that have already been sung for the book; instead i would just like to say that one should read this book while undergoing the darkest phases of life. Human beings are so often thrust into inextricable predicaments, from where there seems to be no escape and the advent of the light to pierce through the all pervasive darkness seems highly improbable . This is the book that can bring that much required 'light' into anybody's life, and for people stuck in a crisis the book ought to act like a magic potion - it did so for me! --Debotosh Chatterjee Jun 9, 2013

We all love and admire self-help books but usually the "impact" of any such book fades away after a particular period of time. These books bring us on right track of handling and managing things, relations, etc. but soon we fell off the track and succumb to our normal routine and usual behaviour. But this book has more potential to always keep you awake with its simple daily dose of "help". You can literally flip and read any chapter and it will surely beam you. Kudos to the author for the simple language and yet great philosophy --Neha R Nov 7, 2011
